On Call Receptionist

The Receptionist, as part of the health care team, provides excellent customer service for patients at the front desk and/or over the phone.  The receptionist schedules appointments, greets and checks in patients, receives payments, collects patient demographic information, confirms patient income and eligibility for insurance and other health care programs, directs patients and visitors, and performs clerical duties.  The receptionist is responsible for developing respectful, professional relationships with patients that assist them in improving their overall health and quality of life.  The receptionist works in a fast-paced environment and displays a friendly manner, a commitment to service, strong decision-making skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.  Requires high school or GED, computer skills, excellent customer service skills, and a desire to work with a low-income, diverse population dealing with behavioral and physical health issues.
