Accounting Clerk

The Accounting Clerk, as part of the finance team, provides excellent customer service to employees, vendors, clients, or customers by answering questions related to accounts, procedures, and services.  The Accounting Clerk compiles and posts payroll data to maintain payroll records and prepares paychecks and computes, classifies, records, and verifies numerical data for use in maintaining accounting records.    The Accounting Clerk works in a fast-paced environment and displays a friendly manner, a commitment to service, strong decision-making skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.  Requires Associate's degree or equivalent in accounting or bookkeeping, full cycle  bookkeeping experience using electronic accounting systems, computer skills, excellent customer service skills, and a desire to work with a low-income, diverse population.  Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred.
